Tanglewood Golf Club in North Carolina offers one of the most picturesque and well-designed Par 3 public courses that you’re likely to come across.

Tanglewood is actually a multi-course facility made up of the Reynolds course, the Championship course and the Par 3 course. The Championship is ranked as one of the top public courses in the country. All three courses were designed by famed course designer Robert Trent Jones, Jr.

This review is for the par 3 course. One of the most memorable features of this course is that the design and maintenance are truly at the level of a private course. The landscape of the course consists of gently rolling hills, large trees and perfectly shaped greenside bunkers.

Even though the course has high-end looks, there’s a very family friendly approach here. The Par 3 course welcomes golfers of all ages and abilities. Even the more advanced courses (Reynolds and Championship) have family tees.

There’s only one hole over 100 yards on the Par 3 course (and that’s from the longer of the two tee boxes.) even by par 3 standards, this is a very short course. All of the holes are between 50 and 120 yards. The par 3 course at Tanglewood is a great spot to practice chipping and to introduce a junior golfer to the great sport of golf.

In 2003, several passionate community members dreamed about building a kid's golf course. As a result, the organization established, and currently manages the Jack Hoeven Wee Links Golf Course providing a 9 hole real golf course for kids in the heart of Minot.

The course required a redesign as a result of the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project and was closed for the 2019 and 2020 seasons. The flood risk reduction project impacted three of the nine holes on the course requiring a rebuild of those through project funds. With golf course design/construction experts on hand to complete the reconstruction as a part of the project, the Minot Junior Golf Association contracted these golf course professionals to complete additional upgrades to the course including hole redesign, landscaping, and hazard implementation increasing the desirability of the course. Jack Hoeven Wee Links re-opened in May 2021.

Brookside Par 3 is located at the corner of Williamson and Clubhouse Rd. in Roanoke, VA and considered by most to be the best par 3 in the state of Virginia. Open since April 1962 Brookside offers 9 holes featuring 840 yards of par 3 golf for a par of 27, with the longest hole being 130 yards.

Green Lake Pitch 'n Putt is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Seattle, Washington.

Green Lake Golf Course first opened for play in 1950.

The Green Lake Golf course is by all means a “pitch n’ putt”, meaning it is a par three golf course that only requires 3 clubs (a pitching wedge, sand wedge, and putter). 

The course plays to a 9-hole par of 27 and a maximum distance of 705 yards. The longest hole is #5, this hole plays to 115 yards. The next longest holes are #4, 6 and 7. All three measure 80 yards.

The Crossroads Par 3 is a 9 hole Course that is an excellent beginner, short game and family course that takes about an hour to play.
The holes range in length from 63-107 yards. This provides more accomplished golfers an opportunity to work on their short game, while beginners can have success learning the game in a relaxed, friendly environment. Play is on a first come, first serve basis with no tee times required for regular play. For larger groups please call the Pro Shop at 425-452-4873 to confirm space availability.
Crossroads offers a practice area with restricted flight golf balls, putting green, free clubs for range or golf course use and a snack bar.
